Report Content
Last updated April 29, 2026
Use this page to notify us about content on Thumbnailed that you believe is illegal under EU or German law, or that infringes your rights (copyright, trademark, likeness, privacy, etc.). This is the notice-and-action mechanism required by Article 16 of the EU Digital Services Act.
How to send a notice
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Thumbnailed report" and include the information below. The link further down opens a pre-filled template in your email client.
Your notice should contain:
- The type of complaint (copyright, trademark, likeness, privacy, defamation, illegal content, other).
- A precise reference to the content — a run ID, a thumbnail URL, or as much detail as you have.
- An explanation of why the content is illegal or infringes your rights.
- Your full name, postal address, and an email address we can reply to.
- A statement, made in good faith, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights-holder, their legal representative, or otherwise authorised to act.
- Your typed name and the date.
What happens next
- We aim to acknowledge your notice within 24 hours during European business days.
- If your notice is substantiated, we will remove or restrict the content and notify the affected user with a statement of reasons (DSA Art. 17).
- Repeat infringers face account termination under our Terms of Service (Section 11).
- False or bad-faith notices may carry liability under § 826 BGB and German competition law (UWG).
